Kitchen update

The kitchen is still not finished, but for good reasons. We've all been so poorly, I've been left with bronchitis and am just beginning to feel human again.

I'd say we're now 2/3 of the way through and plans for this week include the final bits of plastering, lots more painting and laying the new floor. We decided on solid oak parquet in the end......the tiles we'd picked we're lovely but hubbies disabilities do make him very prone to drop things. I'd hate for him to chip the tiles and feel guilty about it so the solid wood is a sensible option. It will also be a lot warmer under foot, will be fine for his wheelchair and comes with a 50 year guarantee! So half a ton of wood is currently sitting in my living taking up lots of room and I'm itching to get it down.
